Warwickshire Local Medical Committee (LMC) is a Statutory Body formally recognised by the Warwickshire Primary Care Trust as the elected body representing General Medical Practitioners (GPs) in Warwickshire. The history of LMCs dates back to the 1911 Insurance Act and is embodied in various Acts and NHS Regulations including the 1948,1977,1984 and 1990 Health Service Acts and NHS General Medical Services Regulations 1992, 2004 and 2005 as amended.

The Committee consists of GPs elected to represent and serve GPs in Warwickshire of which four are Honorary Officers, Chairman, Vice Chairman, Medical Secretary and Deputy Medical Secretary. In addition there is one Lay Secretary (Non Voting).

The functions of the Committee are varied and range from contractual to pastoral representing GPs at all levels whether locally at the Primary Care Trust or nationally with Members of Parliament.

The Committee meets monthly and rotates meetings between Nuneaton, Rugby and Warwick.
